Plant and lawn maintenance is the essential backbone of a garden - pruning, cultivating the soil and mulching at the right time of year as well as general tidying up can make all the difference.

We try to be green - we are environmentally conscious, peat-free and aim to use organic gardening practices wherever possible: using biodegradable sacks, composting, shredding disease free woody material to use as a mulch, removing weeds manually and avoiding chemicals where possible, suggesting disease resistant cultivars, encouraging wildlife into the garden by pruning considerately and using cultural controls for pest and diseases.

Stand alone Hedge Maintenance Service

We also offer a stand alone hedge maintenance service and can provide a quote per job.

Clearance

This relates to  gardens not maintained for a year or more.

Larger scale tidying - cutting back of brambles, weeds, long grass, hard pruning of overgrown shrubs & shredding of plant material.

Planting Improvements

This varies from our other work as it involves an element of design - this is the process...

- Site visit to establish client needs and preferences.

- Initial email with outline ideas including photos/names of suggested plants and hard landscaping elements, if applicable.

- Once ideas have been agreed by email, we ask for payment of a modest proposal fee (varies depending on size of job) which includes the design, communication with client, communication with hard landscaper (and cost of hard landscaping drawing) if applicable, plotting, sourcing and ordering of plants.

NB: We carry out soft landscaping (ie planting) but are happy to source some hard landscaping materials e.g. trellising, fencing, aggregates and containers. We can install aggregates ourselves eg slate chippings and can sub-contract other hard landscaping requirements.

One-off Consultation

This would appeal to clients who are looking for a few planting ideas and/or advice re hard landscaping.  This can cost from £100 upwards depending on needs.

- Site visit to establish client needs and preferences.

- Payment of consultation fee.

- Possible email afterwards re links to hard landscaping elements.

Green Waste Removal

WE DO NOT REMOVE GREEN WASTE OURSELVES but can make arrangements and each borough offers a green waste removal service:

Brent: have a green waste removal service (the green bin) for a yearly subscription fee.

Ealing: have a green waste removal service for a yearly subscription fee, which provides either a green bin or three reusable garden waste sacks or biodegradable sacks.

For any excess garden waste (inc Planting Improvements or Clearance Work), we can provide and fill heavy duty black bin bags which we would leave by the council's green bin or sacks. These would need to be emptied into the green bin or sacks in due course once the council have deposited the first load.

Alternatively, we can recommend a sub-contractor to remove garden waste and provide a contact telephone number.
